The Hotel (Please answer this, its confusing!) |

ok. 3 men go into a hotel, the desk clerk charges 30 dollars for one night. Since there are three of them they each pay ten dollars (3*10=30). later on the desk clerk realizes she over charged them by 5 dollars. So she gives the money to the errand boy to take up. On the way up, he decides to take 2 of those dollars, as he sees it they cant split 5 dollars evenly, 3 they can. well hear's the problem, since they each got a dollar back, they only paid nine. 9*3=27, plus they 2 that the errand boy took = 29 dollars. What happened to the last dollar?
P.S. the answer is not that the errand boy took it, there is nothing more to the problem that you haven't heard! oh, and try to e-mail me the answer. |
